To do this, the cauldron should be washed with soap and water, rinsed and dried thoroughly, and a thin layer of cooking oil should be applied inside and out. The cauldron is then placed in a 300-375 degree oven on a sheet and baked for approximately 1 hour, after which it is allowed to cool on its own. Once seasoned, the cauldron is ready for use. Please note that wax or liquid should not be burned in the cauldron.
